The event is organized by the Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, in cooperation with the Bulgarian Dostoevsky Society.

In 60 h. of lectures and seminars, led by well-known lecturers and professors, the participants will get acquainted with interpretations, tematic and methodological trends in different research fields that have direct or indirect connection with the works of Karl Marx and Fyodor Dostoevsky. The participants will also have the opportunity to present their own papers concerning the topic. MA and PhD students are welcome to take part in the summer school. Attendees will receive a certificate and credit points accordingly: 6 ECTS for participation and attendance; 10 ECST for participation with paper presentation.

The school will be held in the Creative home of SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Kiten, Bulgaria; PhD students will accommodated in twin rooms – two beds, bathroom, TV, Internet and parking.

We are delighted to announce that next year’s Scottish Universities’ International Summer School (SUISS) will run from 9TH JULY - 18TH AUGUST 2018.

The following courses can be taken at undergraduate and postgraduate level:

  • CREATIVE WRITING (4 weeks)
  • TEXT AND CONTEXT: MODERNISM (2 weeks)
  • TEXT AND CONTEXT: SCOTTISH LITERATURE SINCE 1900 (2 weeks)
  • TEXT AND CONTEXT: CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE (2 weeks)
  • CONTEMPORARY BRITISH AND IRISH THEATRE AND PERFORMANCE (2 weeks)

The courses are supplemented by a wide-ranging social and cultural programme, and include readings by contemporary British authors such as David Greig, Sinéad Morrissey, and James Robertson. Students are also given the opportunity to experience the Edinburgh Festivals.

If three students from the same university attend our courses we offer them a 20% discount off the course fee. We also offer a variety of scholarships that are awarded on merit and financial need.

U razdoblju od 17. 7. -8. 8. 2017. godineodržana je druga po redu Ljetna škola Univerziteta u Sarajevu i Univerziteta Northwestern (Northwestern University, Evanston, savezna država Illinois, SAD) iz područja javnog zdravstva pod nazivom „Northwestern’s Comparative Public Health: Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina International Program Development (IPD)” i odvija se u dva dijela, u Beogradu i Sarajevu. Filozofski fakultet Univerziteta u Sarajevu sudjeluje u organizaciji i realizaciji programa koji se odnosi na područje bosanskog, hrvatskog i srpskog jezika, književnosti naroda Bosne i Hercegovine, historije i historije umjetnosti. Studenti koji dolaze sa uglednog Univerziteta Northwestern imali su nastavu koja se odvijala na Medicinskom fakultetu Univerziteta u Sarajevu, kao i organizirane stručne posjete kulturnim znamenitostima i relevantnim institucijama. U partnerstvo su, pored spomenutih organizacionih jedinica Univerziteta, uključeni i Fakultet zdravstvenih studija Univerziteta u Sarajevu, Zavod za bolesti ovisnosti Kantona Sarajevo te nevladina organizacija „Krila nade“.

Ljetna škola s američkim univerzitetom Northwestern

Na temelju Memoranduma  o razumijevanju između Univerziteta u Sarajevu i Univerziteta Northwestern, Filozofski fakultet Univerziteta u Sarajevu sudjeluje u organizaciji i realizaciji ljetne škole iz područja javnog zdravstva pod nazivom „Northwestern’s Comparative Public Health: Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina”. Program ljetne škole podijeljen je u dva dijela, s programom u trajanju od mjesec dana u Beogradu a zatim u Sarajevu u razdoblju od 18.7-12.8.2016. godine. Studenti koji dolaze sa Univerziteta Northwestern (Northwestern University, Evanston, savezna država Illinois, SAD) imaju nastavu na Medicinskom fakultetu Univerziteta u Sarajevu, kao i organizirane stručne posjete kulturnim znamenitostima. Centar za naučnoistraživački rad i stručne aktivnosti (Centar NIRSA) s voditeljem Centra, prof. dr. Sanjinom Kodrićem, zadužen je za realizaciju segmenta edukacije iz područja bosanskog, hrvatskog i srpskog jezika, književnosti naroda Bosne i Hercegovine, historije i historije umjetnosti. U partnerstvo su uključeni i Medicinski fakultet Univerziteta u Sarajevu, Fakultet zdravstvenih studija Univerziteta u Sarajevu i Zavod za bolesti ovisnosti Kantona Sarajevo.

 

Summer School with Northwestern University

Based on the MOU between Northwestern University (Northwestern), Evanston, IL, USA, and the University of Sarajevo (Sarajevo), Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Faculty of Philosophy participates in the organization and implementation of the Summer School “Northwestern’s Comparative Public Health: Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina”. The program in Sarajevo runs for four weeks in Belgrade, Serbia, followed by four weeks in Sarajevo, the latter part of the program taking place from July 18 to August 12, 2016. Students from Northwestern University take classes taught in English at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo, and get field trips and excursions guided by course instructors. The Faculty of Philosophy's Center for Scientific Research and Expert Activities (NIRSA), led by Associate Professor Sanjin Kodrić, is responsible for the sessions in Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian language, literature of the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina, history and history of art.
